TEAM ZIMSEF TAKE ON THE ALPINE CHALLENGE
Our 2018 fundraising effort was taken up by ZimSEF committee member Gus Esslemont and his three mates, Andrew, Nick and Chris, who took on "the toughest, most challenging, most spectacular and rewarding all mountain trail run in Australia" - the 100km Alpine Challenge, which they completed in just 18 hours!
We also celebrated 10 YEARS OF ZimSEF at the Lord Dudley hotel in Paddington, as 2018 marked 10 years since the Zimbabwean Street Soccer team competed at the Homeless World Cup in Melbourne in 2008, which led Amber and James Maiden to establish a charity to assist the team, their families, and the children involved in the street soccer program in Hatcliffe, Harare, called the Zimbabwe Street Soccer and Education Fund, or as we’re known today: ZimSEF.
